A rapidly growing problem at gigs at the moment is the numerous phone lights blinding a DJ. Personally I don’t really have a problem with people taking a video of a song that they like when a DJ plays it, but you really need to realise how much of a dick you look like holding the brightest thing in the room up in the air.

The thing is that it really doesn’t make a difference to the video that you’re trying to take whether your flash is on or not. The thousands of euro worth of lighting in the club will probably overpower the camera flash on your Samsung Galaxy. All that actually happens is you end up ruining the experience for the DJ that you’ve paid €20 to see.

Below you’ll find a step-by-step guide showing you exactly how to not be the person that your favourite DJs wishs had never come to the show.

Just remember, it’s easier to be sound.
